Advantages and Disadvantages of V-shaped Evaporator

The V-shaped evaporator is mainly made to improve heat exchange efficiency and optimize structural layout. The core benefits are three points:

1. Increase the effective heat exchange area: The V-shaped design can arrange more heat exchange tubes in the same installation space, while allowing the air flow to form turbulence when passing through, strengthening the heat exchange between the air outside the tube and the refrigerant inside the tube.
2. Facilitates the discharge of condensed water: The V-shaped inclination angle can guide the condensed water to quickly flow to the bottom drain pan, reducing the accumulation of water adhering to the heat exchange surface and avoiding affecting the heat exchange effect and breeding bacteria.
3. Optimize airflow distribution: The airflow flows through the V-shaped structure more evenly, reducing local wind speeds that are too high or too low, reducing heat exchange dead corners, and reducing airflow resistance and operating noise.

The shortcomings of V-shaped evaporators mainly focus on three aspects: structural complexity, cost and maintenance difficulty:
1. Higher manufacturing and installation costs: V-shaped structures require customized frame and tube row design, pipe bending and assembly processes are more cumbersome than flat-type evaporators, and consumables and labor costs increase accordingly.
2. Difficulty in maintenance and cleaning: The V-shaped angle area is prone to accumulation of dust, floc and other impurities, and the space in this area is narrow, making it inconvenient to operate during daily cleaning and maintenance, and requires the assistance of special tools.
3. Limited space adaptability: The V-shaped structure has fixed angle and height requirements. For air conditioning equipment with compact installation space and limited height (such as small wall-mounted units and ultra-thin duct units), the adaptability is not as good as that of flat-plate evaporators.
